Bring it back...
07.26.23
Our leaders, corporations, and institutions have sold us down the river.
Perhaps it has always been this way, and I am getting to the age where I have enough wisdom and observatory skills to recognize it.
Or not.
But when I look at the political class, I see dishonest people who talk, talk, and don't do anything. Worse than that, they appear to be on the grift perpetually. Not just one or two out of the group - the entire lot of them have gone full clown on us.
When I look at corporations, too many appear unguided by "do right at a profit" and have surrendered to taking low roads to maximize profits while even endangering us or not living up to promises made.
Institutions like universities, government services, and some not-for-profit groups have lost their ethical compass points.
I want to work beside, be part of, vote for, contribute to, and buy from organizations centered on honesty, providing excellent service, and making good choices for our country, consumers, and communities.
Let's bring being good back.
Let's bring the idea of service back.
Let's bring the concept of trying to do the right thing back.
It's okay to make money.
It's okay to have different perspectives and opinions.
It's okay to be selfish if you believe this is NOT a zero-sum game.
I want to live in a world steadfast in good thought and action.
It starts with the person in the mirror.
My mirror. Your mirror. Our mirror.
